Cookie Jar Ent. is apparently enjoying a successful MIPTV market this week. The company, which already boasts thousands of hours of TV content airing across Europe, has extended its reach by selling its newest shows to leading broadcasters France 5, RT’ in Ireland, Nickelodeon in Italy, ZDF in Germany, TiJi in France, SVT in Sweden and Jetix.
Based on the books by best-selling author Richard Scarry, Hurray For Huckle! blends humor and learning by following the lives of six characters who try to solve everyday life mysteries. The show consists of 26 half hours that will begin airing on Nickelodeon Italy, France 5, ZDF, TiJi and SVT later this year.
Will & Dewitt is set to debut on RT’, introducing Irish viewers to an everyday kid named Will, who is able to jump into new situations with a little help from Dewitt, a frog who has become his best friend, cheerleader and morphing pal. Twenty-six half-hour episodes of this early school empowerment series will debut this fall.
Jetix has licensed two of Cookie Jar’s newest adventure series, Magi-Nation and World of Quest. Magi-Nation is a multi-platform fantasy-adventure property about a normal teenage boy whose world is forever changed when he is mystically transported to a beautiful world far beyond imagination. An immersive online role-playing game titled Magi-Nation: Battle for the Moonlands debuts this week at www.Magi-Nation.com. The comedic buddy series World of Quest finds a young pampered prince and his reluctant sidekick on a mission to save his family and their kingdom.
