CBS Refills Cookie Jar for Three More Seasons

Canada-based Cookie Jar Entertainment and CBS have extended their deal for a block of Saturday-morning animation for three more seasons.

Cookie Jar and its predecessor, DIC Entertainment, have provided programming for the Saturday-morning block since 2006. The lineup for the 2009-2010 season is due shortly and is expected to feature programs that skew towards girls.

The block currently features such shows as Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears, Dino Squad, Sushi Pack and Horseland.

“We are pleased to extend our relationship with the CBS team,’ said Toper Taylor, president and COO of Cookie Jar Entertainment. ‘We appreciate that they continue to entrust Cookie Jar with providing quality educational programming to CBS families and their kids.”
