Futurama’s Yonder Comes to Comedy Central

Into the Wild Green Yonder, an original Futurama feature released last year on DVD, will have its broadcast debut as a four-part show Aug. 30 on Comedy Central.

The feature, in which Leela (Katey Segal) joins a green feminist group to save an asteroid of primitive creatures and Fry (Billy West) joins a secret society to save the universe, was the fourth of four original Futurama features originally produced for DVD.

Prior to the DVD features, the series ‘created by Matt Groening of The Simpsons fame and David X. Cohen ‘ ran from 1999 to 2003 on Fox.

Futurama has recently been picked up by Comedy Central for 26 new episodes featuring the original voice cast. The new episodes are due to start airing next year.
