Portfolio Entertainment has secured the international distribution rights to The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That!, the first animated TV series to star the famous children’s book character, and will present a sneak peek of the show at MIPCOM.
The preschooler series based on the classic Dr. Seuss character and book has already been picked up by Treehouse in Canada and PBS Kids in the United States.
Currently in production are 40 half-hour episodes, which will also be made available as 80 12-minute episodes. Comic actor Martin Short stars as the voice of the Cat in the Hat.
The series is being produced by Portfolio Entertainment Inc. and Collingwood O’Hare Productions, in association with Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Random House Children’s Entertainment
