San Francisco gamers who can’t wait to get their hands on the newest Sony product will get a pre-holiday shot this weekend.

Sony Online Entertainment, a worldwide leader in massively multiplayer online gaming, is hosting Media Gamers Day Event at the San Francisco’s Metreon this Friday, August 15 from 3:30 p.m. until midnight. SOE will open their product line-up for hands-on game play and have company execs and development team members on-hand for interviews.

Also scheduled to be there on game day, SOE partners Nvidia and Nyko. Both companies will have reps there to demonstrate how their latest products interface with Sony games. Among the titles in the preview: Champions of Norrath (PlayStation2), EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers (PlayStation2), Lords of EverQuest (PC), EverQuest: Lost Dungeons of Norrath (PC), EverQuest II (PC) and PlanetSide (PC). The Metreon is located on the fourth floor at 101 Fourth Street, San Francisco.
