Blockbuster Flips for Gamers

Blockbuster Inc. today announced the national rollout of the Blockbuster Flip Card, a new rental plan that offers unlimited access to video games for one flat rate. The cards cost $49 plus tax and entitle gamers to take home as many games as they want over the course of three consecutive months. The only limitations are that customers can only have one game at a time and Flip Cards can only be used at the participating store location where they were purchased.

According to Thibault de Chatellus, Blockbuster senior VP and category general manager for games, the company expects the Flip Card to be one of the most popular programs of the summer. Parents should especially warm up to the idea, since the cards cost less than the purchase price of some of the latest console titles and there are no late fees to worry about during the three months.

Flip Cards are available for purchase now through September 6, 2004, at all Blockbuster company-operated stores in the U.S., as well as participating franchise stores.
