Harmony Gold will be in Cannes for MIPCOM and MIPCOM Jr. in October to showcase two new animated series, Tangoo and Ullashong and The Legend of Blue. The company secured worldwide rights for television, cable, DVD, merchandising and licensing. Both shows combine 2D and 3D animation techniques and the first season (26 half-hours) of each is now available.
The futuristic, animated adventure/comedy, Tangoo and Ullashong, takes place on a small planet named Locomoshong, where a kid pilot and a robot pig-herder fight a bumbling, yet menacing scientist intent on taking over the world.
Harmony Gold describes The Legend of Blue as a maritime Raiders of the Lost Ark set against the backdrop of the high seas in a not-too-distant future when pirates relentlessly threaten the vital global ocean commerce, forcing the Earths governments to hire mercenaries. One such warrior, the young Captain Jang, commands a high-tech submarine, the Sea Dragon, in pursuit of the mysterious and legendary Golden Ship, a vessel that may provide the key to the future of the planet.
