The Sci-Fi Channel has acquired the rights to Ring of the Nibelungs. The hit fantasy-adventure miniseries from Tandem Communications was Germany’s most successful TV movie of 2004.

Loosely based on the Germanic myth about the magic ring of the Nibelungs and the Nordic Volsunga Saga, Ring is set to air on Sci-Fi Channel in March under the title Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King.

Kristanna Loken, Alicia Witt and Benno Fuermann star in the Uli Edel directed miniseries.
