Planetwide Games, maker of the Comic Book Creator Drag n’ Drop Comics software, has teamed with Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products to offer a new version based on Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Jack Black comedy, Nacho Libre. Fans will be able to create their own comic books using key movie scenes, characters, tag lines, audio and graphics from the film.
Directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite), Nacho Libre stars Black as Ignacio, a cook who works in a Mexican orphanage by day and moonlights as a lucha libre wrestler to raise money for the kids. Hess and sibling Jerusha Hess co-wrote the script with Mike White, who penned the previous Jack Black hit The School of Rock.
Comic Book Creator users can utilize more than 500 different layout and design templates to craft their own Nacho Libre storylines. The finished products can them be posted to online, emailed to friends or printed out in comic book form.
Nacho Libre Comic Book Creator will be available as a digital download on June 8 through the Planetwide Games online portal at www.MyComicBookCreator.com/nacholibre. The Special Edition retail box version will launch in retail locations across the U.S., Canada and Mexico after the movie’s U.S. theatrical release on June 16.
