Hoping to repeat the stellar home video performance of the recently released He-Man: Masters of the Universe box set, BCI and Entertainment Rights are bringing Prince Adam’s sister to retail on Nov. 7. She-Ra: Princess of Power Season One, Volume One will be packaged as a six-disc set featuring 33 digitally re-mastered episodes from the ’80s cartoon show.
The initial release in a palnned three-volume set that will eventually include all 93 original episodes of the series, She-Ra: Princess of Power Season One, Volume One will include a documentary titled The Stories of She-Ra, Part 1, storyboard-to-episode comparison for episode one ‘Into Etheria,’ art cards by Dave Johnson and Humberto Ramos, and commentary tracks for episodes ‘The Sea Hawk’ and ‘King Miro’s Journey’ with writers Larry DiTillio and J. Michael Straczynski, editor Rick Geher and storyboard creator Michael Swanigan. There will also be 50 character profiles, an interactive Where’s Lookie game, scripts for five episodes, a coloring book and various Easter Eggs.
In putting the DVD release together, BCI has been consulting with Val Staples, the owner of www.he-man.org, the internet’s largest portal for the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe fan community. Staples is also the owner of graphic design company MVCreations and the publisher of the recent Masters of the Universe comic.
