A behind-the-scenes featurette from production of the upcoming Disney/Pixar movie Ratatouille has made its way to the ubiquitous YouTube. While most studios are ridicously guarded with detais of their upcoming releases, Disney has been smartly using the web to generate viral marketing for the CG rat pic. In this latest morsel’which originally aired as an ABC News featurette’director Brad Bird (The Iron Giant, The Incredibles) offers a nice little peek into his world as he works to bring another animated vision to the screen.
Ratatouille stars comedian Patton Oswalt as the voice of a rodent who lives in a Paris eatery and fancies himself a gourmand and has dreams of being a chef himself. After nearly getting the business end of a few carving knives, he joins forces with a kitchen boy who can’t cook and together they set out to become the greatest chef in Paris.
