This year’s NVIDIA Gelato User Group meeting at SIGGRAPH will feature the premiere of director Tim Heath’s The Plush Life, a new CG-animated short film rendered entirely with Gelato software. The program will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina, Santa Rosa Room.
In addition to viewing The Plush Life, attendees will be able to meet members of the creative team responsible for the short film, and see firsthand how the production pipeline worked. The meeting will also cover the latest developments and breakthrough improvements in GPU rendering with Gelato, powered by the latest NVIDIA Quadro professional graphics solutions. The engineers and software designers creating and delivering the advancements in Gelato rendering software will be on hand to discuss their work and answer questions.
