Organizers of the Northwest Animation Festival have issued a call for entries for the 2016 edition, taking place in Portland, Oregon May 9-15 at the historic Hollywood Theatre, with most selections being encored in Eugene, Oregon May 20-22. Additionally, audience-voted favorites will be honored in both locations in special “Best of the Fest” one-day events in September.
The NWAF is seeking excellent animated shorts from around the world, welcoming all techniques and genres, with no produced-by date cut off. Filmmakers can enter their projects for free now through September 1, 2015. Regular submissions ($20 for professionals, $10 for students) are open through October 1, 2015. The final deadline is November 1, 2015.
Complete regulations for the 2016 festival are available on the NWAF website.
