The Animage International Animation Festival has extended its submission deadline through August 7. The seventh edition of the festival is set to take place October 16-22 in Recife, Brazil. The event will host both competitive and out-of-competition screenings of local and international animated films, as well as special sessions and animation workshops for all levels. The festival is put on by Rec-Beat Discos and Artistic Productions.
Animage is seeking entries of up to 30 minutes (including credits) for three competition categories: Short Film, Children’s Short Film and Brazilian Short Film. Category winners and recipients of awards for best direction, screenplay, art direction, animation technique and sound mixing will be selected by a three-person jury composed of film critics and/or industry professionals.
