London-based Cake Distribution is expanding the European reach of its animated action-comedy series Skunk Fu! with sales to France 5, NRK in Norway and RAISAT in Italy. The show was the fifth most watched series at MIPCOM Junior in 2006 and heads into next week’s MIPTV with a host of broadcast partners including Cartoon Network Asia, CBBC, Super RTL, Canal J, TG4, SVT, S4C and RTBF. Skunk Fu! will launch in Europe later this year.
Created by Aidan Harte, Skunk Fu! (52×12) is a Cartoon Saloon, Telegael and Hoek, Line & Thinker co-production for TG4 (Ireland) and SUPER RTL (Germany). Scheduled for full delivery this fall, the show targets kids 6-12 with the adventures of a western kid learning Kung Fu from a wise old Panda in China, so that he can help the resistance fight against the evil Black Dragon and his army of Ninja Monkeys.
